Fabolous antique handmade wool Afghan Chobash wool rug circa 1890 measuring 300 x 230 cm ( 9. 8 x 7. 5 ft) . Even amongst fine Afghan Ersari rugs from 18th and early 19th century, there were few which stood out due to their fantastic designs and quality of foundations. The name of Chobash normally associated with the types with complete natural dyes, finest of goat wools and such unique interactive motifs as well as borders which can only find in Kizil Ayak tribes. Each Gul contains unique geometrics with bands of interlined borders. The Guls even though have similarities with other Afghans and Ersari tribes but they are in lesser sizes with more harmonised together. It is rarity to find such pieces in good condition as years of usage and age have made their conditions no particularly desirable, however this Chobash has remained relevance and in very good condition considering its age. Both ends well intact and even though colours slightly faded but still has presented itself as an excellent decorative room size piece. Rug has been professionally cleaned and washed and has good low consistent pile throughout
