Sicilian cart axle base from c. 1900, with wrought and carved decoration, elaborate painted motifs of grotesques, angels and animals, the carved name of the former owner "Fratelli Sena I Spica", wrought-iron bands forming the feet, a large glass top with polished edges, one corner with minor chips, overall 55 x 23 3/5 x 23 1/5 in. - A decorative rarity.

Unterteil bestehend aus der Achse eines sizilianischen Karrens von ca. 1900, geschmiedete und geschnitzte Ornamente mit aufwendiger Handbemalung, Fratzen, Engel- und Tiermotive, außerdem der geschnitzte Namen des ehemaligen Besitzers "Fratelli Sena I Spica", Füße aus geschmiedeten Eisenbändern, große Glasplatte mit geschliffenen Kanten, eine Ecke mit minimaler Abplatzung, Gesamtmaße 140 x 60 x 59 cm. - Eine dekorative Rarität.
