Mahogany Chest on Stand

The shaped cornice with a dentilated border above three short drawers, three long drawers, and two frieze drawers supported on fluted block legs. Height 65 3/4 inches, width 43 inches, depth 23 1/4 inches.

Condition
Generally good condition. Scattered nicks, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Each side with vertical shrinkage cracks and minor separation. The right side with a further small ding, approximately an inch and a half. The corners with minor restoration and patch repairs. With scattered restoration to cockbeading and with some losses. Some drawers with mild mold. Some shrinkage to drawer lining. The drawer fronts with further surface wear consistent with use, including the middle drawer.
