Utah, Connecticut). Right to the Jaw. Bronze sculpture or statuette of two shirtless men boxing on a rectangular base, dark patina. Modeled in 1926. 14" high, 19 3/4" wide, 8" deep. Inscribed on top of base Mahonri No. 3. Stamped on edge A. Valsuani Cire Perdue. Seal of the noted Paris foundry Valsuani. The foundry also casted sculptures for Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Francois Pompon, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Honore Daumier, Paul Gauguin, Auguste Rodin, Charles Despiau, and more.
