Maison Bagués - Beverage Cart

He was born in Auvergne around 1840 and later moved to Paris to establish Maison Bagus there in 1860. Baguès quickly became synonymous with exceptional quality and has since been a specialist in luxury lighting. The company developed its designs towards the end of the 19th century along with advances in electricity and bronze lighting. In the 1920s, Victor and Robert Bagès, sons of the founder, expanded the company's collection with some of their own iron designs. The company also worked with renowned designers and decorators such as Jansen, Raymond Subes and Armand Albert Rateau. This old serving cart is beautifully preserved with all the original details and finished in mother-of-pearl appliques in the decoration of gilt bronze or brass.
