Maison Boudet, Paris, a pair of Belle Epoque ormolu mounted malachite veneered covered urns, ca. 1900, in the form of brule-parfums, with open reticulated entrelac decorated lids with fruiting finals, above a malachite veneered inverted baluster-form body, each mounted with handles in the form of acanthus case female heads, above acanthus and leaftip-cast socles on on concave octagonal bases with leaftip-cast moldings, each urn signed "Boudet Paris" to base. Each: 11" H x 6" W x 4" D (with covers). Note: Maison Boudet was a successful firm with premises at 43, boulevard des Capucines from 1886 forward, offering an impressive selection of objets d'art, furniture and jewelry. The offered small covered urns in the form of brule-parfums are based on a late Regence early Louis XV model attributed to Caffieri. Provenance: Property from an Upper East Side townhouse.
