1856 (16 Mar) entire from Singapore to Triest, franked by India 1854 4a blue and red (Head Die II, Frame Die I) cut to shape singles (2), each cancelled by diamond of dots with very fine blue â E. APEL & Co / SINGAPOREâ cachet at lower left, the reverse with â SINGAPORE / P.O.â despatch cds and Triest arrival cds (26 Apr); typical blemishes (strengthened filing folds, edge wear) still attractive and very scarce.
