1860 (29 Dec) large part entire from Hong Kong to Boston via Singapore, â Heardâ correspondence (datelined Hong Kong, Dec 29 1860), endorsed â Via Marseillesâ and franked by India 1855 8a carmine/blue glazed and 1856-66 1a brown and 4a black, each cancelled by â B-172â octagon, showing on face red crayon â 1/7â rating, â LONDON / PAIDâ cds (FE 12 61), â 16 / CENTSâ accountancy h/s in red (2 strikes, one applied over the 4a) and handstruck â 5â , on reverse â SINGAPORE / P.O.â despatch cds and Boston arrival (MAR 1) cds; small piece missing from the reverse, still most appealing.
