Valdes attended the Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Carlos and was a founding member of the influential Spanish pop art group Equipo Cronica. A resident of New York City since 1990, Valdes has exhibited extensively, both with Equipo Cronica and independently. Finding inspiration in art history, symbolism and pop culture, Valdes incorporates collage and other media into his works. he was a 1983 recipient of the prestigious Premio Nacional de Artes Plasticas, awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport.
Condition Report: Not examined out of frame. Overall, very good condition. Minor spots of soiling in margins. Frame with marks, nicks and losses.
