Manuel Vidal b1953 Bronze & Geode Lovers Sculpture

Manuel Vidal (Spanish, born 1953), bronze and natural crystal sculpture depicting a nude embracing male and female couple in a romantic pose with a bronze-tone patinated finish. The composition is mounted on a naturalistic assemblage of amethyst crystal clusters, rock crystal (clear quartz) points, blue kyanite blades, pyrite cubes, and additional mineral specimens, all set atop a polished black marble base. Signed "Vidal Perno" on a plaque affixed to the marble base and additionally incised with the artist's signature on the reverse of the male figure.

Dimensions: 27 X 14 X 11 in.

Condition: Good overall condition with typical light surface wear, consistent with display. Evidence of adhesive is visible throughout portions of the mineral assemblage, particularly among the crystal clusters, which may reflect the artist's original construction methods or subsequent restoration; the exact nature of the adhesive application cannot be determined. The mineral specimens exhibit expected natural inclusions, imperfections, and minor edge wear. The marble base shows light surface wear, consistent with age and display.
