Matched pair of professional sepia portrait photos, one of Gustav VI Adolph and one of Louise Mountbatten, each in royal attire, and signed at lower margin. No place, 1926. * Matched pair of professional sepia portrait photos, one of Gustav VI Adolph and one of Louise Mountbatten, each in civilian attire, and signed and dated in ink at lower margin. No place, 1926. All four photos in original photo studio folders with original glassine guards. Lot also includes: one letter addressed to Mr. Lewis from Swedish Royal Military Staff, thanking him for his courtesy in the then-Prince's visit to the United States, with the four signed photos aforementioned signed as a gift offering; and one telegram appointing John Frederick Lewis as Grand Marshal of the Reception Committee for the Prince's visit. Sent by poet and Scandinavian scholar Henry Goddard Leach to Philadelphia mayor W. F. Kendrick. 24 May, 1926.
