Manuscript; Rules for the Chaplaincy of the Parish of the village of Ojacastro - 1740

Manuscript (1740) of the Chaplaincy of the village of Ojacastro (La Rioja) Leather binding. Written in Old Spanish, it appears to be a descriptive document of the foundation of the perpetual ecclesiastical chaplaincy, a lordship in Ojacastro in La Rioja. The text includes the prices and the cost. All the folios can be seen in the photographs attached to the ad. It also describes the behaviour expected in the chaplaincy and the functions that can be performed there, as well as the final destination of the benefits obtained. It’s a contract that also includes the names of those who owned it and those who founded it. As well as those who were present at such times (the witnesses) . It includes a petition to the archbishop, and on 20 June 1747 the archbishop's general inspector signed on this book before a notary, approving the chaplaincy. The book was written between two different dates, beginning in 1740 and continuing until 1831. It passed through different hands and different people, which can also be seen by the presence of different handwritings.
