Manuscript Shiurim of the Holy Gaon Rabbi Baruch Frankel-Teomim, the Baruch Taam, in the hand of his disciple Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Leib Frieden Rabbi of Komarom & other disciples. 1817.

Extensive manuscript of the Shiurim said by the famous Holy Gaon Rabbi Baruch Frankel-Teomim as rabbi of Leipnik.

Bound in at he beginning is a beautiful letter with Divrei Torah by the Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Leib Frieden to his brother Moshe Zev in Bonyhad. The letter is dated 1817.

A large part of the present manuscript is in the hand of the Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Leib Frieden Rabbi of Komarom, & other parts are in the handwriting of other disciples.

Some of the novella were printed in the Baruch Taam's Sefer Ateret Chachamim, but seemingly much of the material is yet unpublished.

The Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Leib Frieden Rabbi of Komarom (1802-1873) was born in Bonyhád, son of the Dayan Rabbi Moshe of Leipnik. He studied under the tutelage of Rabbi Wolf Boskowitz, author of Seder Mishnah & Rabbi Baruch Frenkel Teomim, author of Baruch Taam. After his father's death in 1826, he succeeded him as Dayan in Bonyhád. In 1831, he was appointed Rabbi of Komarom and held this position for 42 years. He headed an important yeshiva and many Hungarian and Slovakian rabbis were his disciples. He exchanged halachic correspondence with Maran the Chatam Sofer and with Maran the Ktav Sofer.

Authored the sefer Divrei Pnei Aryeh (Vienna, 1859). His sons and sons-in-law served in the rabbinate: his son-in-law Rabbi Mordechai Eliezer Weber the Rabbi of Ada (disciple of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz); his son-in-law Rabbi Mordechai Reichenfeld, Rabbi of Yanusha; his son-in-law Rabbi Shlomo Lipman Waldeler Rabbi of Shalanky (Otzar HaRabbanim 18871); his son Rabbi Mordechai Freidman a rabbi in Yanusha (Otzar HaRabbanim 13981), and his son Rabbi Moshe Frieden, Rabbi of Colmar and teacher in Hamburg (Otzar HaRabbanim 15036).
