[Homilies]. Possibly French or Low Countries: likely early fourteenth century. Laid into a later vellum binding, likely not associated. 7 x 4 7/8 inches (17.5 x 12 cm); manuscript on vellum in Latin, 132 ff. written in 30 lines to the page in black ink with a good but heavily contracted Gothic textura bookhand, modestly rubricated throughout, the fore-edge of some leaves exhibiting pricking for rules.Worn and soiled, stained, most of the illuminated initial cut away (one remains), leaves detached at beginning and end, heavily imperfect.
