Large quarto format manuscript on paper, written in a neat hand throughout with lyrics in Greek written below the musical notation; headings in red; consisting of more than 200 pages of laid paper; bound in full contemporary blind-tooled calf over boards with each board featuring a central lozenge, one depicting the Madonna and Child, the other Christ's crucifixion, with brass catches and clasps, damage to foot of spine with loss, text block split in two; clasps no longer functional; 9 x 5 7/8 in.
