15 x 10 cm. Attractive card with the PEN club logo. & Garcia Velllsos PEN club membership card. Federico arrived in Buenos Aires to direct and release his theatrical tragedy "Bodas de sangre" with the company of Lola Membrives. He accepts to come to Argentina in a very convenient way for him. He arrived in Buenos Aires, on a large transatlantic in October 1933, being "impressed by the great city", histrionic Federico, dynamic until the uncontrolled and overwhelming presence revolutionized the intellectual scene of that time in Buenos Aires. At the dinner of the Pen Club of Buenos Aires on November 20, 1933, made in honor of the poets Neruda and Lorca where was supposed to meet another member of PEN Club Enrique Garcia Vellosos who did not attend that dinner so Federico I leave this card thanking the invitation to the theater. In 1933 the Compañía de Grandes Espectáculos Musicados, directed by Armando and Enrique Santos Discépolo at the Ateneo, premiered the musical comedy La Perichona by García Velloso y Remón, music by López Buchardo, stage design by Franco Franco and choreography by Mercedes Quintana, it would be that work to which Federico was invited.
