Manuscript volume, Sermons of Rabbi Chaim Nathanzon Av Beit Din Ziddik, author of 'Divrei Chen' and 'Siftei Chen'. The manuscript includes sermons that were copied by his son for printing, but the printing work was not completed and the sermons were not printed! The 1910s

The manuscript contains nine sermons by Rabbi Chaim Nathanzon, copied by his son. As far as we know, they have not been printed.
Among the sermons:
"Sermon for the conclusion of the Torah"
"Siyum Ha'Shas and the beginning of B'rakhot"
"Siyum on B'rakhot, from the days of my youth that I said when I was about 18 years old."
On the last page, the copyist commented: "The Siyum on B'rakhot has already been printed in my father's book Siftei Chen Haftara of Parshat Re'eh... this too i copied to print."
On the first and last pages of the volume, various math calculations appear.
On the forzatz page it is written in pencil: "I started copying Thursday Parashat Va'Yeshev 1928. I finished copying it on Tuesday Parashat Va'Yigash Zot Hanukkah."

The Gaon Rabbi Chaim Natanzon (died 1904), one of the great geniuses of Lithuania, was born in the city of Pikelin to his father Rabbi Avraham Natanzon who served in the city as a Dayan in the court of Rabbi Avraham Harif. In the year 1873, he was ordained to the rabbinate by Rabbi Bezalel HaCohen of Vilna. In 1959 he was appointed the rabbi of the community in Pikelin. After a few years, Rabbi Chaim resigned from the official position of the rabbinate, and passed it on to his brother-in-law Rabbi Ya'akov Wilenchik, author of 'Daltei Tshuva'. He authored the books 'Siftei Chen' (Vilna, 1900) and 'Divrei Chen' (Pietrekov, 1904).

In the preface to his book 'Divrei Chen' Rabbi Chaim wrote: "And for the good deed i will thank my son .... Yisrael Michal, who labored and copied my manuscript in the clean and pure handwriting desired for printing... and my book Siftei Chen was also printed from his clear and clean handwriting...".

כתב היד מכיל תשעה דרושים מאת רבי חיים נתנזון, הועתקו על ידי בנו. למיטב ידיעתנו לא נדפסו.
בין הדרושים:
"דרוש לסיום התורה בע"ה, ב' חנוכה רחמיך תזכ"ר לנו לפ"ק".
"סיום ש"ס והתחלת ברכות על הסיום שהיה פה זידיק ביום ש"ק פ' ויגש ה'תרס"ג לפ"ג".
"שלהי מס' ברכות, מימי עלומי שאמרתי בהיותי כבן ח"י שנה".
בעמוד האחרון העיר המעתיק: "תשלום סיומא דמסכת ברכות כבר נדפס בספר של מר א"א הגזצלה"ה ספר שפתי חן פרשת ראה בהפטרה וכל בניך לימודי ד' ... גם זה העתקתי לדפוס".
בדפים הראשונים והאחרונים בכרך מופיעים חשבונות חולין שונים.
בדף הפורזץ נכתב בעפרון: "התחלתי להעתיק ה' וישב תרפ"ח לפ"ק. גמרתי העתקתו יום ג' ויגש זאת חנוכה".
הגאון רבי חיים נתנזון (נפטר תרס"ד), מגדולי גאוני ליטא, נולד בעיר פיקעלין לאביו רבי אברהם נתנזון שכיהן בעיר כמו"צ ודיין בבית דינו של רבי אברהם חריף. בשנת תרל"ג נסמך לרבנות ע"י רבי בצלאל הכהן מווילנא. בשנת תרל"ט התמנה לרב הקהילה בפיקעלין. לאחר כמה שנים התפטר רבי חיים מן התפקיד הרשמי של הרבנות, והעבירו לגיסו הגאון רבי יעקב ווילענצ'יק בעל 'דלתי תשובה'. בשנת תרנ"ו עבר לעיר ז'ידיק שם כיהן ברבנות. חיבר את הספרים 'שפתי חן' (ווילנא, תר"ס) ו'דברי חן' (פיעטרקוב, תרס"ד).
בהקדמה לספרו 'דברי חן' כתב רבי חיים: "ולפעלא טבא אמרין יישר ניהו בני המופלג הזריז וממולא מ' ישראל מיכל נ"י אשר יגע ועמל והעתיק את הכת"י שלי בכתב ידו הנקי והטהור הרצוי להדפסה...וספרי שפתי חן ג"כ נדפס מכתב ידו הברור והנקי...".
