This map was issued in the Annual Report of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs to the Secretary of the Interior, and shows the status of Indian Reservations within the western United States in bright orange with large tracts visible in the Dakotas, Montana, Indian Territory and Arizona. It also identifies Army outposts, towns, railroads, river systems, and Yellowstone National Park. The map is still bound into the front of the 466-page report. Hardbound in brown cloth with gilt title on spine.

Folding map is very good with some faint color offsetting and a short binding tear at right. Text is lightly toned. Covers have light wear with bumped corners.
