Maple & Co: A Victorian Rosewood and Marquetry Inlaid Serpentine Shaped Writing Desk, late 19th century, the superstructure with lidded compartments inlaid with musical trophies and surmounted by a pierced brass gallery, with two real and two sham drawers below and inset red leather writing surface with moulded edge above an arrangement of five drawers and an arched apron, on square tapering legs inlaid with flowerbells and ribbons and on brass capped feet and castors, 109cm by 60cm by 98cm
Condition Report:
. Variations in colour and some fading, mainly around top section and lidded compartments. Small shrinkage splits also on the top - see images. The leather top is a poor fit. Some scuffs around the sides and legs. Drawers open but no key.
