▲ Marc Chagall (Russian-French, 1887-1985) 'Le Grand Cirque' lithograph, artist's proof, signed 'Marc Chagall' in pencil l.r., inscribed 'Epreuve d'artiste' l.l. sheet 90 x 64, unframed sold with a photocopy of certificate of authenticity by the Wuyt Chagall Research Centre, together with a modern ebonised frame with gilt decoration (3) Provenance: Private collection, Eaton Square, Belgravia, London SW1W. Condition Report: Time staining with a light crease to the top right corner. There is a 3cm wide strip of discolouration along the top edge and a fainter 3cm border of discolouration along the bottom edge. There are five small strips of tape applied to the reverse of the top edge which has caused a little acid discolouration to the front of the print. A light crescent shaped handling crease to the right of the bottom edge. The print has deckled edges. The frame measures 134 x 112cm and is unglazed with some small knocks.
