Paysage bleu, 1958, proof outside of the edition of 90, published by Maeght Editeur, Paris (Mourlot, 221). Signed "Marc Chagall" in pencil l.r., inscribed "Epreuve d'artiste" in pencil l.l. Color lithograph on paper, image size 19 1/4 x 25 7/8 in. (48.8 x 65.8 cm), framed.
Condition: Full sheet with deckled lower and right edges, gentle toning to edges of sheet, floated within the frame, not examined out of frame.

Out of the frame the sheet has an Arches watermark and measures 22 3/4 x 29 3/4 in. There are handling creases to the upper and lower margins plus other creases near both lower corners. There are also soft crimps and creases to the deckles along the lower edge. There is a very soft crease parallel to the upper edge about 3/4 in from the edge and running the length of this edge. The sheet is evenly toned (more apparent on the verso), and there are several fox marks, also much more apparent on the verso. The frame measures 25 1/4 x 32 1/4 x 1 1/2 in.
