Marc Chagall Signed Artist Proof Lithograph

A vintage artist proof lithograph on paper by Marc Chagall (Russian-French, 1887-1985) circa 1957 titled "The Flute Player" depicting a woman playing the flute accompanied by a violin, dancers, and other shapes in the background producing the sense of movement within the work. In addition, this work features a palette of varying blues and purples contrasted by the stark black coloration of its subject matter. It is pencil signed on the lower right and marked "EA" (epreuve d'artiste)on the lower left. It is presented in a giltwood frame under a cream mat behind glass.
