Marc Davis Mary's Rose Original Oil Painting (Walt Disney, c. 1960s). "Mary Blair loved this painting. Every time she visited she would say, 'I've got to visit my rose.'" This lovely original painting is by the hand of Marc Davis (1913 - 2000), Disney Legend and one of Walt's lauded Nine Old Men. The piece is titled Mary's Rose, as it was a personal favorite of Marc Davis's friend and colleague Mary Blair, also celebrated for her distinguished concept work for Walt Disney. Rendered masterfully in oil on board, this painting was created in the 1960s, and it was prominently featured in "The Art of Marc Davis" exhibit at the Howard Lowery Gallery in Burbank, CA from 12/15/1993 to 1/28/1994. It was also proudly displayed at the estate of Marc and Alice Davis for many years. The piece is framed with a window of 10.25" x 13.5" and an overall frame size of 15.5" x 18.5".
