Marc Davis Winsor McCay Award (Walt Disney, 1982). The Winsor McCay Award, named after the prolific animator Winsor McCay (1869 – 1934), is one of the highest honors someone in animation can be given. It is awarded in recognition of a career of contributions to animation, whether the person was an animator, writer, director, or otherwise. This award was presented to renowned Disney Legend Marc Davis (1913 – 2000) for his over four decades of contribution at Disney. Marc brought many iconic Disney characters to life, including Tinker Bell, Cinderella, Cruella De Vil, and Maleficent. He also worked as an Imagineer, helping to create a variety of attractions like "It's a Small World", "Jungle Cruise", "The Haunted Mansion", and the "Enchanted Tiki Room". Even after his retirement, he helped with the development of EPCOT and Tokyo Disneyland. This prolific award, featuring a spinning Zoetrope, measures about 4.5'' x 6'' on a 4.25'' x 3.25'' wooden base. The base includes a plaque on the front.
