Marc Davis Signed Motion Picture Screen Cartoonist Membership Card with Walt Disney Productions Contract and Option Letter Group of 2 (Walt Disney, c. 1957-59). Four incredibly significant documents signed by the Disney Legend Marc Davis (1913 – 2000) are offered in this remarkable lot. Included is Davis' Motion Picture Screen Cartoonist Membership Card (4" x 2.5"), issued in 1959, showcasing the signature of the famous member of Walt's Nine Old Men and the organization president and famous animator, Ben Washam (1915 – 1984). This card documents Davis' dues paid to the union for the year, three for $16 and one for $27. Also signed by Marc Davis is an unbelievably rare four-page Walt Disney Productions contract dated August 26, 1957. This extensive legal document shows Marc Davis' salary at the time, $500 a week! The lot also features signed option letters from 1958 and 1959, further enhancing this wonderful set of documents. The contract of employment has its pages stapled by the top edge. The membership card is taped and stapled on the upper edge. Both options letters and the contract show fold creases. Overall, the lot shows normal age-related toning and minor handling and edge wear, with one of the option letters showing rust residue on the top edge. In Very Good condition.
