Marcel Breuer - Gavina - Armchair - Wassily Chair

In 1962, Dino Gavina met Marcel Breuer in New York and convinced him to reissue and produce his 1920s designs again. After the sale of Gavina to the American company Knoll in 1968, and the closure of the Bologna-based brand, several products from the Gavina collection were sold under the Knoll brand name. This piece from the period, is in black leather, and comes along with the others, from the managerial officers of a Turin credit institute. The chair has not been used a lot and is in very good condition. The leather is still perfectly taught with a few light signs of age-related wear. The same goes for the chrome-plated parts, which are in very good condition. The frame has been polished and the leather cleaned and treated with leather care products. The Marcel Breuer brand is embossed on the back of the armchair as well as the Gavina label. Dimensions: H 72 x W 79 x D 72 cm. Insured transport within Italy/Europe included in the indicated costs.
