Ceramic vase, MARCEL CHEVALIER, Cannes Height approx. 24. 6 cm, diameter approx. 15. 5 cm Ceramic vase, in chandelier faience, which has clear similarities with works by Clement Massier, Golfe-Juan. Squat body, ending in an elongated neck - slightly tapering towards the mouth. The wall is painted with various iridescent glazes, which have a very different effect in intensity depending on the incidence of light: from matt cream to deep shiny copper red and petrol. Shown are fruits and leaves of chestnut - a motif that was also used by Massier.
