The chairs were designed by Marcel Wanders for Hotel Restaurant Blits Rotterdam, in 2005. The building (Mecanoo Architects) was transformed by star designers Marcel Wanders and Tom Dixon into a unique, almost theatrical setting. The seats are highly unique, as they were designed for this project specially and exclusively. A confirmation from Buro Wanders that these chairs are indeed made by Wanders is available.
