Manual-winding mechanical movement with quarter-repeating mechanism, the front decorated in polychrome enamel depicting three figures in a landscape, the sides with floral motifs, Chinese numerals and ornate hands set with rose-cut diamonds, surmounted by a carved jadeite figure of Budai seated on a blue and red enamelled base, supported on two carved chalcedony scroll-form plinths, on a base applied with blue and black enamel, measuring approximately 150 x 130 mm, signed, fitted box.
Condition Report:
In overall good condition, the enamel with minor surface abrasions, one chip on the corner of the blue base. The light bluish green jade figure with a visible crack and some light surface abrasions. The brownish-orange chalcedony with crazing and surface abrasions, consistent with age and use.
Diamonds bright and lively.
