Complete edition comprising 9 volumes, including an engraved portrait of Richelieu on the title page of the first volume and various folding maps in volumes V and VI as well as a bird's eye engraving of the fortress of S. Phillipe in the volume IX. More portraits in volume VII. Extended errata and notes at the end of volume IX.

Edition bound uniformly in brick red, with a spine captioned and numbered in gold.
Binding slightly detached on the first pages of 2-3 copies (see illustration) , the majority of volumes glued and generally in good condition with the exception of some rubbing and stains due to age. Fine edition overall, with the folding maps and engravings also all well preserved
