This work is clearly a reference to one of his dearest friends with whom he made the history of painting in Piazza del Popolo in Rome.
The airplane is in fact one of the themes that most represents the works of the master Franco Angeli who, together with Tano Festa and Mario Schifano, managed to outline the history of contemporary art of the seventies with their Italian "Pop Art".
Belonging to a series of graphics most representative of the master's works which summarize the most brilliant and iconic works of his entire career.
This series has never been cataloged as its life ended shortly thereafter.
