[ translate ]

\Artist: Marko Stupar (1936)
Technique: Mixed media\Signature: Hand signed\Dimensions: 62_81_7_cm
The work is a mixed media on paper framed with glass and the frame presents some impacts that would be advisable to change. Marko Stupar was born in Vodenica, next to Bozanski Pétrovac, Bosnia, on November 11th, 1936. His childhood was marked by war and difficult living conditions. Later, from an early stage, he took refuge in drawing. He used to draw in his small notebook landscapes of Yugoslavia’s various regions, where he remained until his sixteenth birthday. He then became an engineer in a machine tool factory, while attending night classes at the Belgrade School of Fine Arts. In parallel to this instruction, he educated his eye by regularly attending the museums of the capital. He discovered with fascination the Impressionist masters. At the age of 28 he decided to live in Paris, this city which made him dream so much. It is surprising that he walks for the first time on the great boulevards, he strolls through the gardens and then he discovers a vocation for the representation of urban landscapes. He started out at Place du Tertre, under a pseudonym, and quickly managed to be noticed and exhibit his works. Since he was able to live on his passion, he began to travel and brought views of the cities he discovered. After settling for a time in Dijon, he returned to Paris and divided his time between his hometown and his home country, where he has a house in the Adriatic whose beaches he loves to paint. Please note: The painting will not be sent to Taiwan because it contains wood.
