A pen created to celebrate an empire, a culture that is the basis of current Western civilization and which turns 2777 years old on Friday 21 April 2024: the Roman Empire, consolidated in the Euro-Mediterranean area between the 1st century BC. C. and the 4th century BC, is considered the greatest in terms of management and quality of the territory, socio-political organization and importance of the mark left in the history of humanity. In all the territories on which they extended their borders the Romans built cities, roads, bridges, aqueducts, exporting their model of civilization everywhere and at the same time assimilating the subjected populations and civilizations. After the end of the Empire these people continued to call themselves Roman.
- The cap is made of precious spotted red resin with brass rings. The large band in
silver, shows the two dates that generally identify the beginning and end of a state entity
unique (27 BC - 395 AD) and the acronym SPQR, frequent on the coins of the Roman Senate of the late Middle Ages (and currently appears in the municipal coat of arms of Rome) . On the brass head there is a resin disc on which the Marlen logo in silver is beautifully displayed.
- The sword-shaped clip is made of 925 silver on which a small handmade wooden part is set.
- The body of the pen is made up of a 925 silver band on which the effigy of Augustus, the eagle symbol of imperial power and the map of the Roman Empire are reproduced in high/low relief. They complete the body
a series of alternating brass and spotted red resin rings.
- The fountain pen is piston filled, with a two-tone gold nib
