Marquesas Woman's Ear Ornament, Pu taiana, French Polynesia, 19th century, made from tridacna shell, in the form of a tapering peg carved with two tiki figures, at the end an oval disk with a raised medial ridge to the edge, a small vertical hole drilled for attachment, with metal stand, lg. 1 5/8 in.
