Martinelli Luce - Gae Aulenti - Pipistrello 620 - Table lamp - Aluminium, Steel

Pipistrello has been produced by Martinelli Luce for 50 years and is still an icon of Italian design today.
The Pipistrello lamp was designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965, then created and still in production by Martinelli Luce.
It is a table lamp characterized by the receding shape of the conical base which develops upwards, widening into the ribs of the diffuser, like the unfolding of a bat's wings.
The lamp is composed of an opaline methacrylate diffuser, a telescopic metal lamp body and a brass-coloured metal base.
The light source is LED adjustable via a switch on the power cable.
Today Pipistrello is exhibited at the MOMA in NEW YORK
