Mini Pipistrello produced by Martinelli Luce, in the larger twin version, for 50 years and is still an icon of Italian design today.
It is a table lamp characterized by the receding shape of the conical base which develops upwards, widening into the ribs of the diffuser, like the unfolding of a bat's wings.
The lamp is composed of an opaline methacrylate diffuser, a metal lamp body and a white painted metal base.
The light source is LED and it is possible to turn the lamp on and off using the switch located on the power cable.
Today the Pipistrello lamp is exhibited at the MOMA in NEW YORK.
