Marvel Comics Captain America No. 254 1981
Captain America No. 254 1981 published in February 1981 and featuring the memorable battle against the vampire villain Baron Blood. The dramatic cover artwork by Marvel legend Ron Wilson, with finishes associated with Klaus Janson-era Marvel styling, presents an intense confrontation scene as Captain America is overwhelmed by the monstrous Baron Blood against a striking lime-green background. The bold colors and dynamic composition make this one of the more visually memorable Captain America covers from the early 1980s Bronze Age period. Baron Blood remains a popular recurring antagonist tied to Marvel’s supernatural and wartime storytelling, particularly through connections to Union Jack and the Invaders mythology. Comics featuring horror-themed Marvel villains from this era continue to attract collectors due to the crossover appeal between superhero and horror comic audiences. Shows signs of age wear.
