Born in Stokes, NC, Mary Anne Keel Jenkins was raised in Greenville, NC. She moved to Raleigh in 1951 and studied at the Ferree Art School. An accomplished professional artist, her works are in numerous public and private collections including the North Carolina Art Museum and the NC Museum of History. A retrospective exhibition of her work was held at the Greenville Museum of Art in 1999.
