This classic GT, 2+2-seater designed and manufactured by Alfredo Vignale, became a success for Maserati. Of the 1,104 Indys sold, only 364 units were equipped with the 4. 7 l engine. The Indy America special series had power steering as a standard option, while keeping the conventional mechanics. The Maserati Indy offered here was delivered on 20. 04. 1972 to Consulenza Storico in Rome, Italy. They sold the vehicle to a well-known Dutch Maserati collector in 1989, who integrated it into his collection. This vehicle was completely restored between 1992 and 1994, and only rarely driven from then until today. In 2008, the vehicle came to Germany via the Maserati dealer Schiemenz, where it had two other owners prior to our purchase. In the course of time, various repairs of worn parts were carried out: Shock absorbers replaced Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder replaced Water pump replaced Steering rod replaced Carburettor newly jetted + synchronised Ignition system renewed Power steering pump overhauled. Starter renewed Finally, the engine was completely overhauled mid-2018 by a well-known Maserati workshop specialised in engines (invoice for over €20,000 available) . The vehicle is in good, authentic condition, and all services and repairs are up-to-date.
