Old and authentic mask of the Ibibio, Nigeria
Old patina and colours
You can see signs of wear and tear from time and use.
(Very clearly visible on the back of the mask)
It's a big heavy mask.
With rough strong expression.
I would still rate the condition as good because of the high age and use
Please note a completed insect damage on the back.
(Good condition ---with many signs of age in my opinion)
The mask was purchased in the mid-1980s at an auction house in Germany.
