Massimo Quaglino (Asti, 1899 - Turin, 1982) , Burano, charcoal on paper, size: 28 x 36 cm, signed on bottom left. This glimpse of Burano is part of the tradition of travel drawings and was created by Quaglino during a tour of the Venice Lagoon, made after the war. Trained in the context of the Piedmontese painting of the very early twentieth century, he was a multifaceted artist and devoted himself not only to painting, but also to sculpture and decoration on ceramics. He was in contact with all the main artists of the Turin scene of the twentieth century, from Casolati and Paulucci, to the masters of the Albertina. In the sixties and seventies he also became very famous as a literature illustrator (I Promessi Sposi, L'Orlando Furioso) . In excellent condition. With certificate of authenticity and lawful origin.
