Signed and inscribed on half title page: "For Evelyn/ Maurice Sendak/ Dec. '91". Sendak's cover illustration entitled "A Wild Safe Place" can be found on both the dust jacket and front cover, as well as on page 83 of the book. Other notable contributors include Lois Lowry, Katherine Paterson, and Jerry Pinkney, among others. Unclipped dust jacket, with minor creasing at top edge. Dealer's notes present to upper right of half title page, else untouched. Near fine. 8.25" x 10.25".
