7.92x57mm. 23.62" barrel length. SN: 5336e. Blued metal finish overall with laminated wood semi-pistol grip stock mounting fully hooded front blade and tangent rear notch sights. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine. Rifle displays the bnz. manufacturer code for Steyr manufacture in Austria. Displays the {WWII German Eagle} proof marking on the left barrel, left receiver, rear of bolt handle, and on the right stock above H initial indicating service with the "Heer", or German Army. An {Eagle/WaA77} waffenamt mark appears in two places to right barrel, right receiver, cocking piece, magazine floorplate, and middle barrel band. Toe of the stock is struck with {Eagle/WaA37} waffenamt, while the top of the receiver displays a weak {Eagle/WaA623 above the manufacturer code. The stock features the standard reinforcing bolt below the receiver and the disassembly disc to central butt. The 43 date code indicates the rifle was manufactured in 1943. All visible serial numbers match, including bolt components and firing pin. Rifle mounts the cleaning rod, as well as a possible reproduction leather rifle sling following the German WWII pattern with no maker markings visible.

Arms, Armor & Militaria Fine. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Some traces of a plum fire blue finish to the edges of the extractor with the wartime blued finish displaying some edgewear, and thinning to the forward barrel. Some spots of surface oxidation to the barrel forward of front sight. Thinning finish to the top of the receiver with clear machine marks visible overall. Stock retains crisp edges and markings with some scattered indentations overall and brown patina forming on the buttplate. Stock H band could not be removed for inspection.
