Mazda - Xedos 92.5i V6 Automaat - 1993

[ translate ]

This Xedos 9 2. 5i V6 automatic was imported from Germany by a Dutch trader and registered by me in November 2016. It has had three previous owners. One owner from an Autohaus from 1939 during 10 months, the next owner from 1925 for two years and five months and then his wife from 1924. It is unknown how long she owned the car for. Given the low mileage when I bought the car (97,077 km) and the nut shells I encountered under the bonnet (see pictures) , it was a barn find which had stood still for quite a number of years. (The temporary occupant had fortunately not caused any damage to the cabling) . This assumption is supported by the test report from 12-11-2012 when the last owner had it inspected on 96,800 km, the current odometer reading is just over 103,000 km. All German documents for registration of modifications (the mounting of 16-inch tyres and rims is unfortunately not supplied) are included as well as the instruction and maintenance booklets. One of the owners had it professionally resprayed, the paint shines like new. Sheet metal and underside are completely rust-free. The car has suede upholstery in good condition, it has Semperit 205/65R15 winter tyres and the air conditioning works perfectly. I bought the Xedos as a project car, the first job was replacing the dried rubbers of the suspension. I removed the superficial rust from the rear axle and gave it a protective coating (see photo) . A major service followed during which the following parts were replaced: - Battery - Engine oil - Gearbox oil - Oil filter, air filter, interior filter - Spark plugs - Overpressure tank cooling system - Wiper blades - Automatic aerial - Inside mirror Shortly thereafter, it unfortunately got a cooling problem due to faulty head gasket(s) . The following works were carried out during its replacement: - Cylinder heads compressed / flattened - Cylinder heads mounted with new stretching bolts - Water pump replaced - Timing belt and tension rolls replaced - Multi-straps replacement, including tension roller bearings Invoices worth about €2500 are available for viewing. Everything about the car works except for the electric sliding / tilting roof due to a mechanical defect. The plastic cover of the stainless steel windscreen profile is damaged, it doesn’t leak, it’s only cosmetic. The cover of the centre front armrest is missing. This stylish and rare car is still good for many more comfortable km, the Dutch periodic vehicle inspection is valid until 17-1-2020. The car can be viewed in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands.
