McCabe: A Gilt Metal and Tortoiseshell Pair Cased Verge Pocket Watch, signed Willm McCabe, Bow Middx, circa 1810, single chain fusee verge movement signed and numbered 734, diamond endstone, turned pillars, dust cover, enamel dial with Arabic numerals, both cases stamped with maker's mark JR, outer tortoiseshell case with pique pins to the outer borders, together with a 19th century bloodstone set pocket watch winding key 57mm wide

Outer case with small cracks to the tortoiseshell and surface scratches, outer case thumb piece is slightly rubbed, inner case and bow/pendant gilded surfaces are rubbed in parts, dial with some chips below 6 o'clock position and small scratches in parts, later hands, hand setting correctly and winding smoothly, movement in going order. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
