Medal Issued by the Milan (Italy) Jewish Community for the Commemoration of Victory over the Nazis, 1945, designed by the Italian sculptor Aurelio Mistruzzi, coated in silver. Medal face: lightning strikes and splits in two an axe with a swastika stuck in a fallen tree, and in the background a young tree. Around it the title (Latin, quote from Seneca): "Sequitur Superbos Ultor a Tergo Deus" (the avenging god marches following the vain), medal back: a menorah with the title "Israel" in Hebrew, and the Latin title "Numquam Exstinguetur" (we shall never be oppressed), diameter: 32 mm. Minting by the Italian designing sculptor on its bottom.
