Smith 24 March 1918’, nearly extremely fine (3) £100-£140---William James Smith was born at Bampton, Oxfordshire, and attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry at Oxford. He served with the 2nd/4th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 24 March 1918.
