Interessante memoria del medico francese Claude-François Lallemand (1790-dopo 1848), che sviluppò la sua formazione come chirurgo militare in periodo napoleonico, e fu allievo di Dupuytren. Sviluppò approfondite conoscenze nel campo anatomo-patologico, e affermò una stretta correlazione tra lo studio della fisiologia e l'indagine patologica. Qui è sviluppato soprattutto lo studio di alcuni aspetti del sistema nervoso. Notevole nella prefazione alla presente memoria l'affermazione dell'inutilità della vivisezione animale, giudicata come sofferenza scientificamente inutile.

Interesting memory of the French physician Claude-François Lallemand (1790-after 1848), who developed his training as a military surgeon in the Napoleonic period, and was a pupil of Dupuytren. He developed in-depth knowledge in the anatomo-pathological field, and affirmed a close correlation between the study of physiology and pathological investigation. Above all, the study of some aspects of the nervous system is developed here. Noteworthy in the preface to this memoir is the affirmation of the uselessness of animal vivisection, judged as scientifically useless suffering.
