Medieval Pilgrim's Badge

14th-15th century AD. A pewter pilgrim's badge in the form of a flat trapezoidal plate depicting a standing robed figure of Mary in low relief, surmounted by a plaque depicting a crown and with one panel to side with zig-zag motif; possibly for Westminster Abbey. 3.87 grams, 40mm (1 1/2"). From a private collection; Oxfordshire, UK; acquired before 2003. [No Reserve]
