Found in layers dating back to the Miocene and Pliocene, the teeth of the largest marine predator that ever existed continue to attract many enthusiasts.
Considered a relative of the current white shark, the Megalodon, based on the teeth found, must have reached lengths ranging between 18 and 20 meters.
The state of conservation is good and the signs of wear occurred when the animal was alive. When feeding on large mammals, the teeth often suffered damage when they came into contact with the bones of the prey.
